So Many Books, So Little Time – Poem

So many books, so little time

Moments are racing and I could hear the books chime.

They are invoking my soul

To peek at the to-be-read pile

And start filling myself to become whole

By indulging in the process of reading for a while.

Read because I have miles to go

And the distance could be scaled only if I have enough power

To row the boat.

Read because I seek cognizance in abundance

And what better could it be to bury oneself in the bunch of happiness.

Read because there is a lot to be known

Before the death arrives to play its role.

Read because none would be accompanying you

As better as sparkling yellow pages whose magic will get through you.

Read because books have got the aura

To charge up your mind and uplift your brain

In an unrecognizable fashion

And sets you free by letting your ignorance wane.

Such is the magnanimity of the gentle sources of strength

Once you befriend them,

There’s nothing that you would need to keep you engaged.
