My Review

Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master.

The book Trade And Grow Rich came by as a respite to me after being fed up with fanciful stories and mundane plotlines. It is one of its kind book(maybe because I didn’t come across such a book in a long time). Far away from being generic and boring, this book presents the key insights to becoming a successful trader.

Trading is a tough job. It is not a gamble that you work on it according to your intuition. Rather it requires you to sharpen your tool and then go ahead hitting the goal. As it is quoth,”One should have a warrior attitude towards improving himself every day as a skillful trader.” The whole story behind trading and its nuances have been expressed lucidly for an easy comprehension by its readers. And in this very respect, the book stands ahead of its contemporaries. The authors go about telling the importance of learning the art of trading. They emphatically put forth their views on accepting one’s failures and walking forward in tandem with them. The bigger success lies in digging your Bigger Why. The book lays stress on charting a plan and designing an objective before embarking on their journey to trading.

Brownie points to this book for the language employed by the authors to keep the content simple. The tone of the book is conversational and easy so that the readers do not find it difficult to imbibe the facts in their head. One would find the book breezy and engaging. It won’t exhaust you or ask you to stay, you’ll automatically cling to it condition you have the thirst to learn and explore. The book doesn’t implore you or bug you but takes you along smoothly to traverse the streets of money and market. It tells you that to make money in the market, traders should know how and when to be aggressive or defensive based on market dynamics.

All in all, I loved the book for its simplicity and the value it shall provide to anybody interested in trading and market. I would recommend this book to peeps who are keen to learn the art of trading in a simplistic and realistic way.

My Favorite Lines From The Book:

  • Do not be embarrassed by your failures, learn from them and start again.
  • The number one reason most people don’t get what they want is that they don’t know what they want!
  • Man must cease attributing his problems to his environment, and learn again to exercise his will—his personal responsibility.
  • Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.
  • Your deepest pain is your greatest gift if you learn how to use it.
  • Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.
