Frames Of Life -Guest Post by Aparna Prabhu

Take 1

i. The uncle in your building with salt and pepper hair, bushy moustache didn’t acknowledge your smile as always. You despise him again and feel as though if your day is already ruined.
ii. A curly haired girl wearing a short skirt, and loud make-up is sitting cross-legged, constantly looking at her face in a pocket mirror. Being on the same bus, you notice her at a distance thinking as to what happened to her basic manners.
iii. The girl and the guy are kissing again under the broken lamp post down your street. You watch them from the window of your bedroom and turn your face away.
iv. The talent show is in full swing at your college. A plump guy comes on the stage, constantly fidgeting with his cufflinks. He has already garnered some laughs at the back seats owing to his weight. Having a bad start, he has already gone off-key with his singing. Smiling at the recent developments, you can’t seem to comprehend as to why did he register his name for the contest in the first place.

Take 2

i. The uncle you see every day is robbed of all the smiles in his life as his son is diagnosed with thalassemia. He probably feels the pain of thousand needles when his son undergoes the blood transfusion.
ii. The girl wearing short skirt had to witness the messy divorce of her parents. She is ready for the modeling audition which is her third one in a week to support her education.
iii. The couple whom you presume to be Laila and Majnu is actually Laila and Manoj. The color of their love has to fight the shades of religion every day. This is the only time in the day that they get to spend some quality time with each other.
iv. The guy with a broken voice is battling depression and is suffering from an eating disorder. Singing is the only thing that makes him happy and liberates him from the shackles of misery, keeping him away from the void.

  1. I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
