Empty Yourself – Poem

Overcast with the Panglossian thoughts

I, now, want to open the knots

Which crumble my inner being

As they lay there inside in my soul’s warm cot.

I want to shed them

And set me free of their presence.

It has been a long while

My head has been grappling with clutter

In a slow, quiet motion

With a few pandemoniums.

The struggle pans out to be exhaustive

It has eventually drained me

And all that I want now is to lie down

With a clear head

Devoid of loads of thoughts.

Clarity is what I seek

Which might find its way to me

When I will allow myself

To be empty,

To fill me!

  2. I read this poem at 4:00 a.m. trying to force myself to stay in bed and relax, so I wouldn’t start my day so early and be exhausted at 4:00p.m. It helped me relax and wait to be filled with serenity and peace. Thank you.
