My Review

From the last book I read of the author, this one has surely come a long way. I am really happy to see the improvement that is visible in the grip on words as well as the character development. The book promises to be the game changer with the scientific ideas it offers for changing society and making it a better place for the people to live.

The book begins with Sanidhya, the male protagonist, choosing to chase his passion for cooking. Though he is in a respectable job, his soul lies in the cutlery and delicacies. In his journey toward his dream, he meets Sneha who falls head over heels in love with him. Their love blossoms with the passage of time. Sneha supports Sneha relentlessly in all his endeavors. As Sneha discusses the issues concerning the safety of women, Sanidhya decides to quit his job and start making safety apps for them. Thus, he envisions a society where women are safe and along with that, aspires to become a Chef! Will he win?

For the first half of the book, I appreciate Sanidhya’s decision to stick to his passion. His courage is motivating. But with the onset of the other half, the book starts losing its grip. I seem to lost it. Writing staggered with the passage of the story and managed to walk limply somehow. I truly appreciate Sanidhya’s intent behind the smart tech stuff for keeping the women safe who are continually being harassed in the public places. The ideas brought forth in the book are good and most of them could actually be implemented. It is this aspect of the book which is worth mentioning.

The book does demand a round of extensive editing. The story needs more work to attract the readers. The flow of thought is a crucial point which needs to be taken care of. Also, I would suggest the author puts more focus on developing the narrative. The exchanges between the characters are plain and unnecessary, at places. With these things kept in mind, the book has the potential to turn out to be really good.

MY RATING: 2.8/ 5
