My Review

In the mundane course of adult life, it’s beautiful to revisit your childhood memories. How pure and natural that phase of our lives is! And we do wish, at some point in life, to live our childhood again. In a long time, I got a chance to read a children’s book and I absolutely cherished the experience.

The Chemical Drones is a fun book that makes an excellent attempt at indulging our children in reading books in the digital era. It is a book that has the right blend of fun, friendship, and determination. It was a pleasure to read a story with children as its protagonists. The story itself was amazing and the crisp narration made it all the more engaging. The characters – children of grade 4 – were of different shades, each contributing differently to the story with his/ her unique set of skills.

The arrival of a crisis brings together the entire cast of children who work passionately for their goal. Amidst this, their bond gets stronger. Their will to stand beside each other and help to get through an impasse is commendable. Through this light read, the author managed to deliver powerful life lessons. It is with the portrayal of these children that we relearn the things we leave behind in the race of life – to stand up tour friends and just, be there. With a clean narrative and brilliant writing, the book would be the right pick for the young brigade. The book is filled with colorful illustrations that perfectly complement the narrative thus achieving its goal of both educating and entertaining the readers.

If you have children at your home, do gift this book to them. I don’t see a lot of literature focused on children coming up these days and this one just felt like a breath of fresh air.

MY RATING: 5/ 5
