Book Review

Yours Truly is a short and lovely collection of poetic letters addressed to its readers – ‘acquaintances.’ I started my morning reading this book and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It covers a variety of topics, arranged in subtle words and expressions, to create a positive impact on readers.

The author has written letters to her acquaintances aka readers. Through these letters, she introduces us to the beauty of living with both good and bad. Her words entwine us with nature, acknowledge love, let go of hatred, and in the end, spread happiness. The simple writing delivers a profound message of often termed ‘complicated’ life.

Each chapter begins with a famous quote that sets the perfect tone for the letter ahead. An eclectic mix of love, life, loss, hope, dreams, friendship, human relations, nature, etc. would be a good pick for a light reading experience. Now that there is frequent drizzling, reading this little beautiful book with a mug of your favorite beverage might warm you up.
