Humans have a tendency to try new things, build new habits, and wear the change. They look forward to achieving milestones in their lives. However, they also tend to fall for quick results. They want to have everything as early as possible. They can’t wait to have it all and when that doesn’t happen, they sit with slumped shoulders and gloomy faces. What they don’t realise is that if they really want to have something, they got to go towards it by being better, bit by bit.

Be Better Bit By Bit, or B5, by Nishith Goyal is a book that encompasses simple ways to achieve a breakthrough success that lies in the consistent improvements. The book is a meticulous product of his experiments, observations, and learnings. He had changed things in his own life and now, he brings out his recipe to leading a sustainable and happy life in this wonderful book.

Divided into 12 chapters, Be Better Bit By Bit sims to deconstruct the myths around success using simple and effective techniques. The author firmly believes in the idea of getting better with every step which he imbibes well in his book. It talks about his philosophy behind the B5 formula and how he implements it in his life. The author goes on to explain the concepts of mindfulness, Kaizen, journaling, etc in great detail to emphasise his lessons. Furthermore, he had included pictorial representation to better illustrate his points.

I liked how the book includes anecdotes from the author’s life as well as nuggets of wisdom from other great writers. Additionally, the lucid writing style coupled with a conversational tone helps a reader in connecting with this book. I feel that the young minds would greatly benefit from this book that will push them to embrace failures and never give up. Start small but please, start. That’s important.
