Soft Glimmers & Shining Stars by Niki Munshi is like a soft hug on a rough day. It is a beacon of hope on dark alleys. It shows hope and love. But most of all, it says in fewer words, everything that would comfort one on a bleak day.

This poetry collection is divided into 3 parts comprising modern poetry on a variety of themes. They include love, heartbreak, hope, kindness, and living life to name a few. The underlying aim of the poems in this book is to motivate its readers to take charge of their lives. It is a kind of book one would read to get a ray of light and hope. The poems are easy to read and have an extremely reader-friendly approach. Having said that, this book would delight all readers.

This book has a positive core, through and through. Despite talking about negative experiences, it always gives a way for its readers to find their way out of the darkness. An apt book to read anytime, anywhere. The beauty of this book is that you can read any poem randomly. Each one of them is unique and independent. Just with one mission – to make the readers feel at home.

Alongside some charming words and a generous dose of sunshine, there are illustrations to fascinate the readers. Although the poems are majorly in free-verse, lacking traditional rhyming patterns, they might just ring true to your heart for how relatable they turn out to be. Because of their simplicity and universal themes.

This book is indeed a warm hug that helps one in shining through tough times. If you are feeling disillusioned and low, pick it up. I might just go back to it in days to come.
