Songs to her Lover is a collection of poems written from a woman’s point of view to her lover. The basic premise goes like on one fine day in Bombay, two people get talking to each other on a dating site. One thing leads to another and before they know it, love starts to brew between them.

The woman flies back to a different city and so does the man. However, their conversations go on with a fair share of ebb and flow. The relationship sees different turns and if it will ever materialise into reality remains to be seen.

The poems essentially portray the woman’s feelings where she expresses her love. She fantasises about the times with a man she has never seen. She is madly in love with him and that love spills over to a reader as they read those poems.

The writing is breezy and the poems do not follow a fashion per se. However, they are vividly written so as to engage a reader. The book drips with honey-like love that is a quintessential element of our lives. Poured out straight from a heart in love, this poetry collection would certainly tickle you and make you all warm and fuzzy.
